📅 Reservation Info & Policies

Before you pack the marshmallows, make sure you’re familiar with how reservations, payments, cancellations, and check-in/check-out work at Kibby Creek. This section lays out everything you need to know before you arrive.

Reservation & Payment Policies

To reserve a site at Kibby Creek Campground, we require a valid credit or debit card at the time of booking. A one-night deposit is charged to hold your site, though you’re welcome to pay more in advance if you prefer. The remaining balance is due upon check-in.

  • Site Types vs. Site Numbers: We guarantee your site type, not your specific site number. Site numbers may change unless you’ve added a paid $15 Site Lock to your reservation.
  • Reservation Fee: A $5 non-refundable processing fee is applied to each reservation.
  • Payment Methods: A valid credit or debit card is required on file to secure your reservation. You may pay your remaining balance at check-in using cash, check, or card. A 3% card processing fee applies.
  • Multiple Sites & Group Reservations: If camping as part of a group, please create a Group Reservation to help our staff best assist you. Group reservations require full payment at the time of booking when done online. We recommend appointing a Wagon-master (Group Leader) to coordinate with our team.

A map and summary of rules are provided at check-in. By staying at Kibby Creek, you acknowledge and agree to abide by all campground policies, including any updates posted at the office or online.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change! Please review our cancellation policy carefully before booking.

  • Cancellations made 7 or more days before arrival will incur a $20 cancellation fee. If your deposit was already charged, we will refund all but $20. If it hasn’t been charged yet, we’ll simply charge $20 to the card on file.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of your arrival date will result in forfeiture of your one-night deposit.
  • No-shows (reservations that are neither cancelled nor checked in) will be charged the entire cost of the stay.
  • All cancellations must be made by email. We do not accept cancellations by phone, voicemail, or social media.
  • If you’d like to reschedule your stay instead of canceling, and you book a new reservation at the time of cancellation, you may transfer your full deposit with no cancellation fee. Only one transfer per reservation is allowed.
  • Camping is an outdoor experience, and we do not offer refunds or credits due to weather conditions, including rain or storms.
  • We do not offer refunds or credits for early departure, regardless of the reason.

🏕️ Campground Use & Site Rules

Once you’re here, we want your stay to be smooth, safe, and enjoyable. This section outlines important rules about who can be on your site, parking, vehicles, fires, and daily cleanup. It’s the good-to-know stuff that helps keep Kibby Creek running like a well-oiled camp stove.

Guests & Occupancy

To keep things fair and enjoyable for everyone, each site comes with a standard occupancy and guidelines for add-ons.

  • Base Rate Includes: Two adults and their dependent children, plus one camping unit (tent, trailer, or RV).
  • Extra Guests: Additional adults or friends staying on your site are $10 per person, per night, or $30 per family.
  • Extra Tents: One tent for dependent children is permitted (on standard sites only). Additional tents or separate family units may require a second site.
  • Group Camping: If your party includes multiple families or friend groups, please reserve separate sites or create a Group Reservation. We cannot accommodate multiple family units on a single site without prior approval.
  • Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of people allowed per site is based on your site type and will be confirmed at check-in.

Visitors

We welcome your friends and family — but to keep the campground safe and running smoothly, all visitors must follow these guidelines:

  • All visitors must register at the office, no matter how brief their stay. If the Office is closed, please stop at the Barn to register.
  • Day Visitors: $5 per person or $15 per family. Passes expire at 10:00 PM (quiet hours).
  • Overnight Visitors: $10 per person or $30 per family. Passes expire at 12:00 PM (noon) the following day.
  • Responsibility: The registered camper is responsible for the conduct and compliance of their guests. Unregistered or disruptive visitors may result in removal of the entire party without refund.
  • Vehicle Tags: All visitor vehicles must display a valid car tag provided at check-in.

Vehicles & Parking

To protect campground space and ensure emergency access, please follow these vehicle guidelines:

  • Limit: A maximum of two vehicles is allowed per site, unless prior approval is given by the office.
  • Overflow Parking: Depending on your site layout, you may be asked to park in overflow. Please check with the office upon arrival for instructions.
  • Registration: All vehicles — including visitor vehicles — must be registered at the office and display a valid car tag at all times.
  • Towing Notice: Vehicles parked in unapproved areas or without valid tags may be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • No Roadside Parking: For safety reasons, parking on campground roadways is not permitted. Vehicles must be fully within the site’s designated parking area or in approved overflow lots.
  • Golf carts, scooters, and e-bikes are subject to additional rules (see next section).
  • EV charging is not permitted using campsite electrical hookups, unless prior authorization has been granted. Please ask the office for nearby public charging options.

Golf Carts, E-Bikes & Scooters

We allow golf carts, electric bikes, and electric scooters on the property — but only when operated safely and responsibly.

  • Registration Required: All motorized and electric ride-on vehicles must be registered at the office.
  • Usage Fee & Form: A small fee applies. A signed agreement form is required for approval.
  • Sticker Required: Approved vehicles will receive a registration sticker, which must be visibly displayed while on campground property.
  • Licensed Drivers Only: Only licensed drivers may operate golf carts.
  • Helmet Policy: Helmets are required for all riders under 18.
  • Parental Responsibility: Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of children operating any ride-on vehicle.
  • Rules Enforcement: Speed limits must be followed (5 MPH), no joyriding or unsafe behavior is allowed. Failure to follow rules may result in loss of riding privileges.

Campfires & Firewood

Campfires are a special part of the camping experience — and we want to keep them safe and responsible for everyone.

  • Fire Rings Only: Fires are only permitted in designated fire rings. Do not move fire rings or build fires elsewhere on your site.
  • Do Not Leave Fires Unattended: Fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished before going to bed or leaving your site.
  • Firewood Sales: Bundled firewood is available for purchase at the campground office and store.
  • Outside Firewood Rules: Due to the threat of invasive pests, outside firewood is not permitted unless it’s heat-treated and certified. Transporting firewood from other regions can spread tree diseases.
  • Burn Clean: Do not burn trash, plastic, food waste, or treated lumber in fire pits.
  • Campfire Behavior: Do not throw glass or cans in fire rings. Loud gatherings around fires must still respect quiet hours and your neighbors.
  • Cleaning Fee: A $50 cleaning fee will be charged to any campsite that has garbage or waste left in the firepit after checkout.

Trash & Recycling

Help us keep Kibby Creek clean and beautiful by disposing of all trash properly before checkout.

  • Daily Pickup: We offer once-daily trash pickup at campsites. Please have bagged trash placed at the roadside near your site by 10:00 AM.
  • Missed Pickup: If you miss the daily pickup, please take your bagged trash to the dumpsters located near the Southwest access drive.
  • Dumpsters: Household garbage should be bagged and placed inside the dumpster — not beside it.
  • Recycling: At this time, we do not offer on-site recycling. Please plan to take recyclable items home with you if desired.
  • Do Not Leave Trash at Your Site: All trash should be removed from your campsite, firepit, and picnic table area before departure.
  • Large Item Disposal: Do not leave broken equipment, furniture, or large trash items at the park. If you have questions, ask the office for disposal guidance.
  • Cleaning Fees: Sites left with excessive trash, debris, or firepit waste may be subject to a $50 cleaning fee.

🛡️ Safety, Conduct & Nature

A great camping experience depends on good neighbors and shared respect for the land. This section covers quiet hours, pet guidelines, safety policies, The Ponds, and what to expect in case of emergencies or severe weather.

Quiet Hours & Conduct

We work hard to maintain a peaceful, family-friendly environment. Please respect your fellow campers by observing the following rules:

  • Quiet Hours: Begin at 10:00 PM and end at 8:00 AM. During these hours, voices, music, and activity must be kept to a minimum.

We love pets — but we also expect owners to keep them safe, quiet, and under control. Please follow these rules when bringing your four-legged companions:

  • Leashes Required: All pets must be on a leash or physically restrained at all times, including at your site.
